Breakfast

Every morning, you can enjoy a healthy, extensive and varied breakfast buffet in our restaurant. You are welcome from Monday to Friday between 07:30 and 10:00, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 07:30 to 11:00.

Dinner

Dinner at Restaurant Kontrast starts at 18:00. As a business guest, you can enjoy a delightful shared dining experience. Leisure guests may choose from a selection of seasonal à la carte dishes.

Bar

After a productive or active day, you can relax in the classically modern renovated lounge of the manor house. Here you’ll find a bar, several cosy sitting areas, comfortable sofas, and a spacious green outdoor terrace. The bar is open daily until midnight.

Emergency assistance

In the event of an emergency, please call our internal emergency number: +31 (0)343 556 666. We kindly ask you to follow the instructions of the emergency response team and the building’s emergency procedures. An AED is located outside the entrance of Banning (building 4) and inside near the entrance of BlauwGedicht (building 10).

Smoking

Smoking is legally prohibited in all our public areas and guest rooms. This includes e-cigarettes and vapes.

Check-in and Check-out

Your room will be ready from 15:00 on the day of arrival. Check-out is possible from Monday to Friday until 10:00, and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays until 11:00.

Late Check-out

Prefer to take your time when leaving? Contact our reception for availability. We offer late check-out from €15.00 per hour, subject to availability. Or ask about our Lazy Sunday deal – available on Sundays only – from €40.00.

“Welkom Landgoed de Horst” is our Wi-Fi network. After accepting the terms, you will have free access.

Parking

Our estate offers over 500 parking spaces spread across four different car parks. You may use these free of charge during your stay.

Electric Cars

Car Park 4 has six electric charging stations. Please bring your own charging card, as credit cards are not accepted at these stations. You can use the following cards: FastNed, Allego, Shell Recharge, Ionity, Ladennetz.

Public Transport

Landgoed de Horst is easily accessible by public transport. The nearest bus stop, Akkerweg, is just a five-minute walk from the estate. From there, bus 50 takes you directly to Driebergen-Zeist Station, Utrecht Central, or in the direction of Doorn.

Lunch-to-go

Planning to go for a walk or bike ride and want to enjoy a delicious and nourishing lunch along the way? Book a lunch-to-go via our reception. The compact insulated backpack includes two sandwiches, a bottle of water, a can of soft drink, a piece of fruit and a healthy bar. The backpack is available for €29.50 per person.

To help us prepare, please order your lunch-to-go at least one day in advance at the reception. You can also inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements.

Bicycle Rental

Our hotel is located in a beautiful, wooded area filled with sights such as castles and museums. We highly recommend exploring the Utrechtse Heuvelrug by bike.

If you haven’t brought your own bicycle, we offer rental bikes on-site. Choose between a regular bike or an e-bike. E-bikes are €29.50 per day, and regular bikes cost €8 for three hours or €14 for a full day. Ask at reception for availability.

Walking and Cycling Routes

Spontaneous adventures can be wonderful, but a little preparation ensures you don’t miss any of the highlights in our scenic surroundings. Our reception team knows everything about Driebergen-Rijsenburg and the surrounding Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park.

They’ll be happy to recommend various walking and cycling routes that guide you through the forest or offer a glimpse into Dutch history – for example, with a route past castles and historic forts. Click here for more inspiration.
