This room once served as the estate owner’s bedroom and remains a warm, tranquil space at the front of the manor house. Today, it’s a characterful meeting room offering the opportunity to convene in a truly distinctive setting. Kamer Mijnheer is located on the first floor of the Manor House and is suitable for meetings or workshops of up to 10 people, arranged in a boardroom-style layout.
A warm yet bold atmosphere is both felt and seen through the comfortable Artifort conference chairs, a distinctive table, and art pieces that reference the room’s former—and still present—functional role. Subtle fragments of the poem Mei by Herman Gorter on the ceiling—illuminated by the poetic ‘Birdie’ lamp by Inger Maurer—add a soft touch to the room’s slightly businesslike tone.
A notable feature is the podium, made up of 6 or 8 modular sections, which can be used as a coffee table (40 cm high), a work table (78 cm), or as an actual stage. To support its multifunctional use, the podium surfaces are topped with a layer of soft green natural rubber.
Kamer Mijnheer is particularly well-suited for a variety of meetings and other (business) gatherings in a woodland setting.
