The Vuijst Room is located in the Banning building. All rooms in Banning are named after former directors of the Kerk en Wereld Foundation (Church and World Foundation). This foundation purchased the De Horst Estate in 1946 and established the Dutch Academy for Public Education here, which later became the school for social work. Pupils lived on-site and received a church-based education aimed at supporting the role of the church and community in post-war society.
Jan Vuijst was director of the Kerk en Wereld Foundation from 1980 to 1985. He formed a close leadership team with Joke Offenberg, both appointed by the Dutch Reformed Church.
The Vuijst Room – overlooking the forest – is located on the 1st floor of Banning and is filled with natural light thanks to its large windows.
The Vuijst Room is suitable for a variety of meetings and other (business) gatherings in the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. We’ll arrange the space entirely to suit your needs.
